Call For Paper
Workshop: presentations-discussions
The CAA-FR workshop consists of 1-hour presentations and discussions by each speaker. There is no specific theme, and speakers are completely free to choose their topics. The format of 'Construire des liens' is the main one, and the aim of the presentations-discussions is to have a sufficiently long presentation time (30-35 minutes) to deepen a complex methodological point, to explain the overall recording and/or processing chain, etc. The deadline for submissions is 12/15 2024. In order to lead and enrich the collective discussion (25-30 minutes), workshop participants must send a text of their paper by 01/10 2025, of between 2,500 and 7,000 words excluding bibliography. The proofreaders of a text can thus take an in-depth interest in the paper beforehand, and will moderate the discussion. If they wish, speakers selected for the workshop are welcome to take on the role of moderator for another presentation-discussion (you can specify your choice in the abstract when submitting your presentation-discussion).
PhD students and early career researchers' forum
We invite PhD students and early career researchers developing a computational and/or quantitative approach to present the methodological aspects of their research in a short format. The event will be covered by the “Thèse et vous!” podcast team. They will provide PhD students who are interested with an interview to present their research to a wider audience. To participate in the forum, we expect a 200-word abstract submitted by 12/31 2024.
Format: short presentations of the challenges or methodological issues of the thesis, 10 minutes maximum. Presentation of results is not compulsory (especially for PhD students at the beginning of their thesis).
